Greenbrier church of christ

About

We welcome you to the Greenbrier Church of Christ. While our main purpose in gathering on a regular weekly basis is to worship God through song, prayer, lessons, communion, fellowship, and giving, we also fulfill other Biblical commands.
We fully accept the authority of Christ in all things, obeying His commands in His ways. We do not presume to add to His instructions nor to subtract from them. We believe the New Testament is sufficient to instruct us with regard to all our spiritual needs.

We teach what the Bible teaches about becoming a Christian. His word is clear in explaining that God, by His grace, offers you salvation (Eph. 2:1-10).

God’s word reveals a plan of salvation:
Hear – Romans 10:17; John 5:25
Believe – John 8:24; John 3:16
Repent – Luke 13:3,5; Acts 17: 30-31
Confess – Romans 10:9-10; Acts 8:35-38
Baptism – Acts 2:38, 22:16; I Peter 3:21

Benevolence

Galatians 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

Each year we hold our annual food and clothing drive to help those less fortunate in the Greenbrier area. We average around 70 families. Donations are made by members of the Greenbrier Church of Christ as well as from the community. We have a small food pantry and clothing room we keep stocked for during the rest of the year when individuals and families need assistance.

Fellowship

I John 1:3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Each Thursday morning the ladies meet for fellowship and Bible study. We have about 80 kids 12th grade and under. Our youth meet often for devotionals, fun activities, youth rallies, area-wide youth fellowships, Bible camp and service projects. The congregation meets on a frequent basis for a variety of evangelistic meetings, pot-lucks, and area-wide get-togethers with other congregations.
